Cayuga Vault to close its doors

Another performance venue is closing in Santa Cruz County. The Cayuga Vault, the performance space at Soquel Avenue and Cayuga Street in Santa Cruz has announced that, after 10 years in business, it will be closing after its last show Dec. 19.

Since its opening in 1999, the Vault has brought to town a wide variety of musical acts (and otherwise) with an emphasis on world music and sacred music artists.

The Vault will be holding an event on Dec. 20 for fans and community members to come in and say goodbye to the place. For more information, go here.

We all wish the best to Linda Kimball, Pete Coates and Amanda West for keeping the Vault a valuable venue for audiences and artists. It will be missed.
